About

Your experimental time-travelling spacecraft is stuck in a time loop only a few seconds long! Even worse, your weapons systems are malfunctioning too, and you're forced to avoid getting shot by the echoes of your past self.

Stay alive through clever maneuvering, and kill your past selves if you must - but keep in mind that such a paradox comes with its own penalties.

Instructions

Either the left and right arrow keys or "A" and "D" can be used to turn left and right. The ship fires automatically and jumps three seconds back in time every three seconds.

"Paradox Wing" was created for the Spring 2021 Gaming Project at VT  Game Jam. The theme was "Paradox." Have fun!

Patch Notes

Since the conclusion of the jam, a few minor changes have been made.

• Timekeeping has been adjusted: the countdown now correctly reads the number of seconds to the next jump
• Some reworked sounds and particles
• Past-self weapons are now correctly synced
• Brief controls tooltip now appears on game startup
• Game now supports Android devices
